The burgeoning market for AI infrastructure just got a new financial backbone, as Liquid Compute announced a $15.0M seed round to build out its CFTC-regulated exchange. The company, formerly known as Pluto, is developing the financial layer for AI compute and aims to be the first CFTC-regulated exchange for AI infrastructure, with pending DCM and DCO registration as PMEX Markets/Clearing.
This significant early-stage capital infusion drew investment from a notable roster including Chemistry, FirstMark, K8, Night Capital, UFO Holdings, TrueBridge Capital Partners, and Brainchild Holdings. Liquid Compute, which is also backed by Y Combinator, saw additional participation from individual investors Dmitry Balyasny, Taro Fukuyama, JJ Fliegelman, and Ethan Lin.
