Leanwatts has raised $2.0M in seed funding, a round that backs the Indian startup’s push into the electric vehicle charging market. The company is developing a line of EV chargers ranging from 300W to 3kW, aimed at two-, three-, and four-wheeler applications, with a focus on cost efficiency and reliability.
The name Leanwatts reflects the company’s core pitch: optimal power conversion. Its chargers are designed and made in India, a detail that could matter as domestic EV adoption grows and buyers look for locally built components. The fresh capital gives the young firm room to keep refining its products, though specifics on how the money will be deployed were not disclosed.
