Kodiact has raised $2.5M in pre-seed funding to build a data and simulation layer for direct materials, the raw inputs that account for as much as 60% of revenue at global manufacturers. Supply Change Capital, Green Circle Foodtech Ventures, and Velocity Catalyst Fund backed the round.
The company's pitch rests on a familiar gap: most manufacturers still plan commodity exposure through annual category plans and spreadsheets, which means leadership often can't see the product-level margin impact of a price swing until it's already in the P&L. Kodiact says its platform links each material to its price drivers and writes every decision to a single ledger, letting procurement, supply chain, and finance teams rehearse sourcing calls and trace shocks to a specific month and SKU before they hit the business.
