With over 50% of today’s fish consumption coming from aquaculture, our pioneering technology offers a much-needed alternative to the traditional method of sending water samples to remote laboratories—a process that can take anywhere from 5 to 10 days to deliver results.

By enabling continuous monitoring of harmful bacteria in real-time, our onsite testing kits provide early warning alerts, allowing fish farm operators to swiftly address potential threats before they escalate into costly and life-threatening infections.

Rooted in groundbreaking research and innovation, KOA Biotech is a proud spinoff from the University of Pompeu Fabra, established by a group of dedicated PhDs in Biology.
