Knight-Thon Soars Past $626K: UCF Students Rally for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals

We’re thrilled to announce that Knight-Thon, the University of Central Florida’s renowned annual 20-hour event, has successfully raised $626,416 in its latest funding round.

This significant achievement further solidifies Knight-Thon’s role as a powerhouse in student-run philanthropy, dedicated to supporting the patients of the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida.

Every year, more than 1,500 passionate students come together, staying awake for 20 hours to raise crucial funds and spread awareness about the invaluable work carried out by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

This year’s funding milestone serves as both a tribute to their unwavering commitment and a beacon of hope for the children and families who benefit from these life-changing efforts.

Since its inception 22 years ago, Knight-Thon has donated over $5 million, demonstrating its consistent impact and impressive legacy as the University of Central Florida’s most successful student-led charitable initiative.

Notably, the event’s history of excellence includes the 2018 milestone when an astounding $1,585,698.22 was raised, ranking it among the nation’s top dance marathons.

The current funding will be strategically reinvested to expand event programming, increase awareness, and further enhance support services at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
