A new seed round has brought $430K to Kinemo, Inc., a company building wearable body motion tracking systems designed to give people with limited physical motion greater independence. The capital will help advance its alternative controller technology.
Kinemo's system employs small custom tracers to detect subtle body gestures, enabling users to operate devices such as power wheelchairs, smartphones, and tablets. This approach aims to bridge the gap in human-computer interaction for individuals facing physical limitations, improving both their mobility and access to digital tools.
