Kapso, an investment banking platform that helps small businesses in India find buyers or sellers, has raised $1.4M in seed funding. The round was backed by a mix of venture firms and prominent Latin American tech operators, including Norte Ventures, Latitud, Newtopia, Platanus, Hypersphere, Semilla Ventures, Chile Ventures, and angels like Matías Woloski and Damián Schenkman.
The company positions itself as a matchmaker for the country’s fragmented small-business market, handling everything from valuation to legal compliance for deals involving cafés, clinics, coaching classes, or early-stage startups. The capital arrives as India’s informal business sector increasingly looks for structured exit and acquisition routes, though the company has not detailed how it plans to deploy the fresh funds.
