Kapso has raised $1.4M in seed funding, a bet that developers want to build AI agents directly inside WhatsApp rather than bolt them onto separate platforms.
The round is backed by Norte Ventures, Latitud, Newtopia, Platanus, Hypersphere, Semilla Ventures, and Chile Ventures. Kapso’s pitch is straightforward: give developers the tools to create and deploy AI agents within the messaging app’s ecosystem, tapping into WhatsApp’s massive user base without forcing users to leave the chat. The startup is entering a crowded but early-stage space, where the challenge will be proving its developer tools are sticky enough to stand out.
