InvestiFi has pulled in $20.0M from a syndicate of credit unions and industry backers, a vote of confidence in its pitch to keep member deposits from drifting toward bigger fintech rivals. The round includes Vibe Credit Union, BankTech Ventures, ICCU, Navari, and a half-dozen other credit unions.
The company’s hook is narrow but pointed: it’s built an investing platform that lets credit union and community bank customers trade directly from their deposit accounts, inside their existing online banking setup. That’s a bid to stop assets from leaking out to brokerages or robo-advisors, while giving smaller institutions a wealth-management feature they’d otherwise struggle to build themselves. The investor list reads like a who’s who of the credit union ecosystem, suggesting the pitch is landing where it matters most.
