A $10.0M Series C round has landed for Immunophotonics, Inc., a clinical-stage biotech working on a way to turn standard tumor ablation into a personalized cancer immunotherapy.
The company’s lead candidate, IP-001, is a carbohydrate polymer designed to be injected alongside the minimally invasive procedure that destroys tumors. Rather than just killing the mass, the approach aims to use the liberated tumor antigens to spark a systemic immune response-boosting T cell activity and potentially creating long-term protective immunity against the cancer. The fresh capital will support development of the asset for solid tumor indications, though the company has not disclosed which investors participated in the round.
