Giving doctors "x-ray vision" for safer medical interventions, Illuminant Surgical has closed an $8.4M seed funding round. The company, which is building a real-time anatomical projection system called Skylight™, attracted investment from a diverse group including Wing 2 Wing Ventures, National Science Foundation (NSF), National Cancer Institute, National Institute on Aging, Elderberry Ventures, Soma Capital, and DRF.
Illuminant Surgical's breakthrough platform, Skylight™, is designed to display internal anatomical images directly on the patient. This technology aims to provide a new way of seeing inside the human body, enhancing precision during medical procedures.
