The $100 billion spent annually on medical devices is hemorrhaging $80 billion to paperwork, denials, and remakes. Hike Medical has raised $22.5M in seed funding to plug that leak.
The company is building an AI platform for orthotics, prosthetics, and durable medical equipment, with two core products: Hike Intelligence, which uses AI agents to process faxes and chase missing documentation, and Hike Clinical, an AI-enabled lab that 3D-prints custom devices in-house. The pitch is simple-providers can take every referral without adding staff, get patients fitted in days instead of weeks, and get paid faster with fewer denials. The seed round will help scale that operation, though the company has not disclosed who is backing it.
