The market for innovative brain tumor treatments just got a $100.0M boost, as GT Medical Technologies, Inc. announced its Series e funding round. The company, founded by a dedicated team of brain tumor specialists, secured the capital from investors including Viking Global Investors, MVM Partners, Gilde Healthcare, Evidity Health Capital, MedTech Ventures Partners, and FemHealth Ventures.
GT Medical Technologies is behind GammaTile, an FDA-cleared, bioabsorbable collagen implant embedded with radiation seeds. Designed for patients with operable brain tumors, GammaTile delivers immediate, localized treatment directly within the surgical cavity to help prevent regrowth. Since its full market launch in March 2020, the implant has been adopted by over 100 leading centers.
