Green Spot Technologies Secures $6 Million in Series A Funding to Revolutionize Upcycled Food Ingredients

Green Spot Technologies (GST), an innovative start-up focused on creating upcycled and fermented ingredients, has successfully raised €6 million in its latest funding round.

Founded in New Zealand by Dr. Ninna Granucci following her Ph.D., GST has made significant strides since relocating to France in 2018, where it found an environment ripe for growth.

With a passionate team of over 19 experts hailing from diverse fields including microbiology, biochemistry, food science, and process engineering, the company operates from a 2,000 m² industrial facility in Carpentras, complemented by a cutting-edge formulation kitchen and biotech lab in Toulouse.

This round of funding will enable Green Spot Technologies to expand its research and development capabilities, enhancing its ability to meet the demands of modern food manufacturers seeking sustainable and innovative ingredients.
