With a vision to stabilize increasingly volatile energy grids using entirely renewable materials, Granarium Technologies has closed a $1.1M pre-seed funding round. The Finnish spin-out is developing next-generation supercapacitors made from nanocellulose, biocarbon, and water, promising an instant, high-power response for a mining-free energy future.
Granarium's technology aims to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional batteries and fossil-based backup systems, delivering 24/7 energy availability. Emerging from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland with granted patents and TRL5 technology, the company anticipates launching its first commercial pilots within six months.
