Giraffe Bio has raised $6.4M in seed funding to build out programmable biomolecular reagents for mineral processing.
The company designs molecules that act directly at the mineral surface, aiming for more selective and efficient metal recovery across complex orebodies and brines - a drop-in approach meant to work within existing processes rather than requiring new infrastructure. At its core is a discovery platform that combines biology, engineering, and data to design, test, and refine molecular solutions, with each program building on prior learning. Giraffe Bio works with mining partners to develop and implement these solutions across a range of applications.
