Global trade compliance, a notoriously complex and manual process, just got a boost of AI-powered capital. GingerControl, a startup building AI infrastructure to automate product classification, duty calculations, and and documentation for customs, has secured $2.1M in Seed funding.
The company aims to streamline the intricate requirements of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and CBP's reasonable care standard for customs brokers, importers, and ecommerce platforms. Its core tools include an HS & HTS Classification Engine and a Tariff Calculator, accessible via an AI co-pilot or an Ecommerce Trade API.
