Preclinical stage AI drug discovery company Gero has secured $17.0M in Series A funding, bolstering its mission to eliminate age-related diseases. The firm leverages artificial intelligence to build clinically relevant disease phenotypes from real-world human data, a process designed to identify diseases with shared biology.
This sophisticated methodology then employs WES-enabled genetic studies on these identified phenotypes. This allows Gero to discover novel targets applicable to several indications at once, offering a multi-faceted approach to tackling complex age-related conditions.
