Engineers looking to design and print parts with optimized material properties just got a boost, as Fortify, a Boston-based 3D printing innovator, announced it has closed a $12.5M Series C funding round.
The company's patented Digital Composite Manufacturing (DCM) platform is transforming the additive manufacturing industry by introducing aligned reinforcing fibers into high-resolution composite parts. This unique approach, combining magnetics and digital light processing, enables the creation of custom microstructures for applications from injection mold tooling to high-performance end-use components, promising superior materials and faster lead times.
