Fortell has raised $163.0M to build hearing aids that do more than make the world louder. The company says its AI-powered technology uses custom chips to help the brain separate speech from background noise in real time, so wearers understand conversation rather than just hear it.
The round comes as Fortell's debut product is already available at Fortell Audiology on Park Avenue and 61st Street. The company is backed by Thrive Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, Optum Ventures, Lux Capital, Vast Ventures, Good Friends, Positive Sum, Stonecroft, and Atreides Management.
