A $26.0M Series a round has just closed for Flourish Health, a startup tackling the critical issue of mental health care for young people. The investment, led by B Capital, F-Prime, and Cherryrock Capital, will bolster its unique hybrid model designed to keep high-acuity patients aged 8-26 in their communities rather than residential treatment.
Flourish Health's approach combines in-home visits with virtual sessions, delivered by a dedicated "Care Pod" of specialists including psychiatrists and therapists. This model has shown significant results, with an independent study finding a 69% decrease in residential treatment utilization and a 70% decrease in overall hospitalization rates for patients six months after completing the program.
