A new $20.0M Series A funding round will fuel Fesarius Therapeutics' mission to advance regenerative medicine, particularly in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The biotech startup, which develops innovative tissue-engineered products, announced the close of the round with backing from a notable syndicate of investors.
Fesarius Therapeutics' lead product, DermiSphere, is a dermal regeneration template designed for wound management, stemming from technology spun out of The Laboratory for Bioregenerative Medicine and Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. Investors in the round include Jefferson Life Sciences, Johnson & Johnson Innovation, Empire State Development's NY Ventures, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
