The future of remote work just got a bit more physical, as Extend Robotics announced it has raised $3.4M in new investment. The funding round drew support from Skyworks Venture Capital Fund, Neo Venture (Europe), and Zip Capital.
Extend Robotics builds VR-based immersive human-robot interface software, enabling non-robotic experts to intuitively operate commercial robots from remote locations. This technology also allows users to teach robots new automation skills with embodied AI, aiming to remove people from harsh or hazardous environments and break geographical limitations for remote physical tasks.
