The browser is becoming a gaming console, and Entity just raised $5.8M in seed funding to speed up that shift. ACT, Delta Partners, Elkstone, and Enterprise Ireland are backing the startup, which builds a platform for console-grade instant games that run natively in the browser and load in seconds on any device.
Entity’s pitch is straightforward: no installs, no downloads, no updates. Players just click a link and play, while developers get a direct-to-consumer channel that bypasses closed platforms and keeps player relationships-and better economics-for themselves. The company is now focused on curating a slate of high-fidelity titles and carving out a new category in gaming, with the fresh capital presumably fueling that curation and platform build-out.
