Empowering Change: Homeboy Industries Secures $24.9M to Transform Lives and Communities

Homeboy Industries is proud to announce that we have successfully raised $24,900,000 in new funding, a monumental achievement that will propel our longstanding mission even further.

For over 30 years, Homeboy Industries has been dedicated to transforming the lives of formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated individuals by providing hope, training, and support through an array of innovative programs and social enterprises.

This remarkable funding milestone not only reaffirms our commitment to creating lasting change in the Los Angeles community but also allows us to expand our comprehensive support network and job training initiatives.

With this infusion of resources, we will continue to employ over 300 individuals annually at our downtown headquarters, where participants gain essential work experience and on-the-job training, often for the first time.

The new funds will directly support our diverse range of services including mental health therapy, substance abuse counseling, GED tutoring, and legal case management, as well as further develop our social enterprises such as Homegirl Café and Homeboy Bakery, among others.

These initiatives not only empower individuals with practical skills like solar panel installation and financial literacy but also provide a clear path toward self-sufficiency and community re-engagement.
