Livestock methane emissions, a greenhouse gas source larger than shipping, air travel, and deforestation put together, are in the crosshairs of Elysia Creative Biology. The climate tech startup has secured a $465K grant to further its work in engineering agricultural solutions.
Elysia's current product involves genetically modifying corn and other feed crops to automatically eliminate these potent emissions. The company emphasizes scale and cost-effectiveness, designing its technology to be produced and delivered through the existing, worldwide agricultural system, aiming for broad impact on a critical environmental challenge.
