Builders FirstSource is putting $25.3M into Digs, a Series A bet on an AI platform that wants to drag homebuilding out of the spreadsheet era. The round backs Digs’ pitch to builders: automate the messy pre-construction and aftercare phases, then hand homeowners a 3D digital twin of their house at closing.
Digs’ software splits into three pieces-DigsCloud for a shared data hub, DigsCanvas for AI-assisted takeoffs and diagramming, and DigsCare for post-handoff warranty support. The company frames the end product as a “Homefax for the home,” giving owners a living record of what was built. With Builders FirstSource, a major building products distributor, as the sole backer, the capital likely helps Digs plug deeper into the supply chain’s existing workflows-though the company hasn’t detailed specific spending plans.
