The push for safer autonomous vehicles just got a $750K boost, as DeepScale, a firm specializing in perception for ADAS systems and AVs, announced it has received a grant. The funding will support its work in bringing advanced, efficient perception capabilities to the automotive sector.
DeepScale focuses on developing efficient deep neural networks to fundamentally change how cars "see" their surroundings. The company currently partners with OEMs, automotive suppliers, and chip manufacturers, aiming to improve roadways today rather than solely focusing on a distant L4+ future.
