With its AI-powered robots designed to sort dry mixed recyclables, Danu Robotics has raised $5.0M in seed capital. The company specializes in manufacturing robotic systems and computer imaging that can retrofit into existing manual waste sorting facilities, aiming to boost operational efficiency in Material Recovery Facilities.
Danu Robotics' systems are built for 24/7 operations, featuring modular hardware where high-wear components like grippers can be replaced in minutes. Its computer vision software ensures highly accurate picking and high purity of separated materials, a critical step in the drive towards a circular economy. A demo facility is set to open in April at the National Robotarium in Edinburgh.
