Cornea Sense, a spin-out from Aalto University, is developing a medical diagnostic device that promises to give eye doctors a new level of precision in diagnosing and monitoring ophthalmic and metabolic diseases. The Finnish startup has now secured $1.3M in pre-seed funding to advance its technology, which provides direct and specific ocular surface hydration data.
The pre-seed round saw participation from Innovestor Angel CoFund, angel investors, and Business Finland, backing Cornea Sense's mission to bring more objective and specific diagnostic capabilities to the assessment of eye health.
