Celero Communications has raised $275.0M in a Series C round, a hefty infusion for a two-year-old startup aiming to ease the biggest bottleneck in AI computing: getting data between chips fast enough without burning through power.
The Irvine, California-based company designs coherent digital signal processors for optical connectivity, a niche that’s become critical as hyperscale data centers stretch AI workloads across thousands of accelerators. Founded in 2024 by veterans of Marvell, Inphi, Broadcom, and ClariPhy, Celero is betting its expertise in analog design and DSP architecture can deliver the high-bandwidth, low-power links these networks demand. Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and CapitalG led the round, backing a team that’s clearly no stranger to the physics of moving bits.
