CarbonFarm raised $7.8M in Series A funding to bring satellite-verified transparency to agricultural carbon credits. The round drew backing from Colam Impact, Proparco, Suma Capital, elea, Working Capital Fund, Albo, Bpifrance, Serena, make sense, and Technmind.
Agriculture accounts for roughly 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and carbon investors are willing to pay farmers to reduce them - but only if they can verify what's actually happening on the ground. CarbonFarm uses satellite data and artificial intelligence to monitor farming methods and measure the emissions they produce, giving buyers confidence that the credits they're paying for reflect real reductions.
