BuildingIQ, Inc., a company focused on helping building owners worldwide lower energy use and improve operations, has raised $731K. The firm’s 5i Platform leverages an Internet of Things (IoT) approach for buildings, delivering technology-enabled services that have proven to reduce HVAC energy costs and improve occupant comfort.
The platform ingests multiple, disparate data streams from buildings and meters, translating and modeling them to perform predictive analytics. BuildingIQ, which was spun out from Australia’s National Labs and works closely with the US National Labs, uses these insights to optimize energy savings, operational efficiency, and tenant comfort.
