We are thrilled to announce that the Bronx Letters Foundation has successfully raised a significant amount of funding to further our mission in empowering students at the UA Bronx Academy of Letters. Located in the heart of the Mott Haven neighborhood, one of the most underserved areas in the South Bronx and the poorest congressional district in the United States, our foundation is dedicated to fostering literacy and self-expression among our students. The funding raised, which amounts to $500,000, will be pivotal in enhancing our college-preparatory academic program that serves students from grades six through twelve. With this capital, we aim to develop innovative literacy programs and expand access to advanced placement and honors courses that can ignite a passion for learning and prepare our students for successful futures. Additionally, the financial boost will allow us to introduce more arts electives and practical externship opportunities, enabling students to gain real-world experience and develop essential skills. Our founding team of dedicated educators, parents, and community leaders believes fervently that strong writing skills translate into better opportunities in life. Through this new funding, we reaffirm our commitment to social change and academic excellence, supporting our diverse student body in achieving their fullest potential. We are incredibly grateful to our supporters who understand the transformative power of education and stand with us in our efforts to uplift our community.
