Breaking the Mold: Anise Health Raises $3 Million in Seed Round for Culturally-Responsive Mental Health Platform

Anise Health is thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised $3,000,000 in funding to continue our mission of providing culturally-responsive digital mental health and wellbeing resources tailored specifically for communities of color, with a primary emphasis on the Asian American population.

Founded by two minority female alumni of Harvard Business School, Anise Health is committed to addressing the unique challenges and nuances that these communities face when seeking mental health support.

Our innovative platform combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with culturally relevant content, empowering individuals to navigate their mental health journeys with understanding and compassion.

Under the guidance of our esteemed clinical director, Dr.

Janie Hong, a psychologist and Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, we aim to create a safe and affirming space for users. Dr.

Hong’s extensive experience—ranging from her role as a founding partner at the Redwood Center for CBT and Research to her leadership within the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies—ensures that our programs are anchored in the latest psychological research and best practices.

This funding will allow us to expand our platform, enhance our outreach efforts, and further develop our tailored digital programming to foster greater access to mental health resources for Asian Americans and other underrepresented communities.
