BlockDAG Network has raised $2.0M in pre-seed funding, a bet on its pitch to fix blockchain’s classic trade-off between speed and decentralization. The Layer 1 project uses a Directed Acyclic Graph structure alongside Proof of Work, allowing multiple blocks to be processed at once rather than in a single chain-an approach it says cuts waste and boosts transaction throughput without leaning on a central authority.
The round’s backers weren’t disclosed, but the capital lands as BlockDAG leans into mining as a consumer hook. Its lineup spans a smartphone app for casual users up to the X100 rig, with the company touting energy efficiency and resale value on e-commerce platforms. Daily mining yields range from 20 to 2,000 BDAG tokens, depending on hardware. The funding will help push that ecosystem forward, though specifics on deployment remain under wraps.
