A $9.0M Series A funding round has closed for Biotia, the health tech company spun out of the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech. Based in New York City, Biotia is focused on advancing infectious disease diagnostics for challenging infections.
The capital infusion came from a syndicate including Convergent Ventures, DigitalDX Ventures, Cloquet Capital Partners, Continuum Health Ventures, I-Lab Angels, EGB Capital, Leawood Venture Capital, Red Bear Angels, Red Bear Ventures, and the family offices of Tim Barry and Dr. Clive Fields. Biotia maintains a high-complexity, CLIA-certified diagnostic laboratory in the city.
