CCRAFT is shaping the future of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) with advanced thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) technology. As a dedicated open-access foundry, built on years of pioneering R&D at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), we combine technological innovation with market-driven solutions—addressing current industry needs while paving the way for next-generation PIC platforms. We offer monolithic TFLN PICs, TFLN chiplets for heterogeneous integration, and processing of TFLN-enhanced silicon photonic wafers, solving critical challenges in optical communications, high-performance computing (HPC), AI, Quantum, space technologies, optical computing, and advanced sensing. To meet the growing demand for high-volume, high-performance photonic solutions, we are scaling up manufacturing in our cleanroom facility. Our comprehensive process design kits (PDKs) empower customers to confidently design and develop robust, cutting-edge PIC products tailored to their specific applications. Cria Technologies

Crìa is reinventing cold-chain logistics with breakthrough high-vacuum insulation technology. We are introducing a new class of containers for temperature-controlled transport in pharma and biotech, up to ten times more effective than existing solutions, while offering the first portable options for personal transport (cabin-bag compliant) and the most compact, ultra-light shipping solutions. This enables safer, longer, and more sustainable transport at refrigerated, ultra-low, and cryogenic temperatures (down to –150 °C). Our innovation builds on unique know-how in high-vacuum technology, drawing from particle physics research, solar thermal systems, and space exploration. By drastically reducing reliance on dry ice and liquid nitrogen, both carbon-intensive to produce and hazardous to transport, we deliver a step-change in sustainability. Our technology also unlocks the use of Phase Change Materials, enabling reusable and eco-friendly alternatives to traditional coolants.
