BharatPe Raises $100 Million in Funding to Support Financial Inclusion for Indian Merchants

BharatPe, a pioneering fintech company on a mission to drive financial inclusion for Indian merchants, has successfully raised $10 million in its latest funding round.

Founded in 2018, BharatPe has revolutionized the payment landscape by launching India’s first UPI interoperable QR code system and introducing a zero MDR payment acceptance service.

As a leader in UPI offline transactions, BharatPe currently serves over one million merchants across more than 400 cities, boasting an impressive annual Transaction Processed Value of $26 billion.

The new capital will be instrumental in further expanding BharatPe’s operations and enhancing the suite of financial products tailored for small businesses, including the provision of zero MDR card acceptance terminals through BharatSwipe.

With a track record of disbursing loans aggregating over ₹10,000 crores to merchants since its inception, BharatPe is committed to strengthening the financial backbone of India's merchant ecosystem.

This latest funding round adds to the company’s impressive total of over $583 million in equity raised to date, attracting marquee investors such as Tiger Global, Dragoneer Investment Group, and Sequoia Capital (now Peak XV Partners).
