Baselayer has raised $20.0M in a Series A round, a bet that its machine-learning approach to vetting small businesses can become a standard layer for banks and government agencies. The funding was led by Koro Capital and M13.
The company鈥檚 platform scans government records, web sources, and private databases to answer compliance, risk, and fraud questions about any U.S. business. Already integrated into systems that handle over 30 million accounts, Baselayer鈥檚 tools span identity verification, enhanced due diligence, and repeat fraud prevention-positioning the fresh capital to deepen a product suite that鈥檚 clearly found early traction with more than 2,200 institutions.
