We are thrilled to share an important milestone for Ashirase, the world’s first shoe-insertion type vibration navigation device designed to empower visually impaired individuals by guiding them safely and intuitively wherever they desire. Established in 2021 as the inaugural business venture project emerging from Honda’s new business creation program, Ashirase has been on a mission to revolutionize personal navigation and mobility. By simply wearing shoes embedded with our innovative technology and setting one’s destination through our dedicated app, users receive subtle vibrations in their feet that seamlessly direct them along the safest and most efficient route. This breakthrough concept transforms daily commutes, recreational outings, and spontaneous excursions into experiences of independence and joy for the visually impaired community.
In our latest funding announcement, we also want to be transparent about our financial journey: while we have successfully attracted significant internal support from our strategic partners, our external funding round currently stands at 0. This deliberate and thoughtful approach to resource allocation reflects our commitment to sustainable, innovation-led growth as we continue to build, refine, and roll out our product. The funds held within our internal reserves, along with the expertise extended by Honda’s creation program, are being strategically reinvested into research and development, user experience enhancement, and robust safety features. As we navigate this unique funding landscape, our determination to deliver unparalleled freedom and convenience to visually impaired users remains our guiding principle. Ashirase is excited to drive change in accessibility and looks forward to a future where every individual has the opportunity to explore the world with confidence and joy.
