A new class of data for drug and material discovery just got a significant boost. Apoha, a startup developing technology to recreate the physics of sensation, has closed a $36.0M Seed funding round. The investment drew support from a notable roster of backers including Singular, Draper Associates, Seedcamp, Wilbe, Nucleus Capital, Acequia Capital, Plug and Play, R7, and Innovate UK.
Apoha's core innovation is its "Liquid Brain," a machine it touts as the first with sensory intelligence. This system is designed to analyze samples as small as 10µg, promising to unlock novel insights by mimicking human sensation. The fresh capital will likely accelerate the development and application of this unique approach.
