Amyl Therapeutics has raised $9.6M in a Series A round, with backing from Noshaq and Merieux Equity Partners. The preclinical-stage biotech is developing therapies aimed at severe peripheral amyloid protein misfolding diseases, a category that includes neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, as well as systemic amyloidosis.
The company’s approach centers on targeting multiple misfolded proteins at once, rather than a single culprit-a strategy shaped by a team with deep drug development experience and collaborations with external advisors. The fresh capital arrives as Amyl works to advance its pipeline from the lab toward the clinic, though specifics on how the funds will be deployed were not disclosed.
