Amber has raised $8.1M in a Series A round, a vote of confidence for the game development network that has quietly become a behind-the-scenes force on some of the industry’s biggest franchises.
The round was backed by NRW.Venture and Ventech. Amber, which started as an external development studio, now positions itself as a flexible partner for publishers and developers, offering multidisciplinary teams that can plug into projects across the entire development lifecycle. Its portfolio includes work on recognizable titles like Tetris, Pac-Man, Monument Valley, Sky, and Squid Game. The company says it will continue investing in emerging tech, original IP, and talent development as it pushes its model of adaptive, long-term collaboration.
