AgDevCo Raises $32 Million in Funding to Empower African Agribusiness Growth

AgDevCo, a pioneering social impact investor and project developer focused exclusively on the agriculture sector in Africa, has announced a significant funding milestone, raising $32 million to bolster its mission of enhancing agribusiness and food security across the continent.

Established in 2009, AgDevCo has been at the forefront of transforming agricultural livelihoods by providing essential debt and equity investments.

With a commitment of $280 million so far and over 65 successful investments, the company aims to drive job creation, empower smallholder farmers, and boost local economies through sustainable agricultural practices.

The funds raised will enable AgDevCo to further expand its portfolio in key African markets, including Tanzania, Mozambique, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone, where it has already influenced the lives of countless individuals and communities.

The capital will be strategically allocated to identify high-potential agribusinesses that align with AgDevCo's vision of creating shared prosperity while ensuring responsible and impactful farming and agri-processing operations.
