ADHAR Secures $25M Grant to Empower Odisha’s Underprivileged Communities for Lasting Change

We are thrilled to announce that ADHAR, a dedicated grassroots non-governmental organization focused on fighting poverty, hunger, injustice, and environmental challenges, has successfully raised INR 25,000,000 in its latest funding round.

Founded in the early nineties by a group of self-motivated youths, ADHAR was initially established to provide relief during natural disasters such as droughts, floods, and cyclones in the most underprivileged regions of Odisha.

Over the years, the organization has evolved significantly, registering under the Society Registration Act, 1860 in 1992 and further strengthening its credentials with 12A, 80G of the IT Act, and FCRA registration.

This new capital injection will empower ADHAR to expand its mission of creating an equal and just society where vulnerable and underserved communities gain access to basic rights, resources, and opportunities.

With a focus on holistic development, ADHAR has been implementing programs in Education and Skill Development, Livelihood, Health and Nutrition, Protection, and Climate Resilience over the past three years, directly and indirectly benefiting around 2 lakh families.

The fresh funds will be deployed to scale up these impactful initiatives, strengthen community institutions, and develop replicable models for sustainable progress.

By investing in long-term solutions, ADHAR aims to empower disadvantaged communities, with a special emphasis on women and children, to actively participate in their own development processes.

This funding milestone not only reinforces the faith of our generous stakeholders but also marks a significant step towards transforming the lives of the underprivileged, fortifying our collective resolve to build a more inclusive society.
