Bridgepoint Group has acquired VIPR Solutions, a UK-based provider of AI-driven data management platforms for the insurance market, for an undisclosed amount. The private equity firm completed the purchase to expand its portfolio in the insurance technology sector, taking full ownership of VIPR’s operations and technology assets.
VIPR Solutions specializes in delegated authority platforms that automate bordereaux reporting, coverholder management, and regulatory compliance. Its software is used by a significant portion of Lloyd’s Managing Agents, along with a growing number of brokers and carriers in North America and Europe. The company, headquartered in the UK, also maintains a presence in Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, the U.S., and Canada, and holds SOC 2 certification for data security.
For Bridgepoint Group, the acquisition adds a specialized software provider with a strong foothold in the London market and expanding international reach. The deal aligns with Bridgepoint’s focus on investing in high-growth business services and technology firms. VIPR’s niche in automating complex insurance workflows offers a clear entry point into a segment where manual processes remain common, providing a basis for operational improvements across client operations.
The acquisition is expected to support VIPR’s product development and geographic expansion, leveraging Bridgepoint’s resources to accelerate adoption of its platforms among insurers and brokers. VIPR’s existing client base and regulatory expertise are likely to remain central to its growth strategy under new ownership.
With Bridgepoint’s backing, VIPR is positioned to deepen its role in modernizing delegated authority processes, while the combined entity aims to capture further demand for data automation in insurance markets on both sides of the Atlantic.
