Terradot has acquired Terradot for an undisclosed amount, consolidating efforts in enhanced rock weathering (ERW) to accelerate global carbon dioxide removal.

This corporate acquisition aims to streamline operations and unify strategic initiatives under a single entity.

The acquired Terradot specializes in advancing Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), a natural process that accelerates Earth’s climate regulation by crushing silicate rocks and spreading them on agricultural soils to remove atmospheric CO2.

The company, founded out of the Stanford ecosystem, has been dedicated to addressing the extraordinary scientific, technological, and operational challenges inherent in scaling ERW.

Its current focus includes establishing an ambitious ERW hub in Brazil, a location optimal for ERW due to its tropical soils, strong agricultural sector, and clean electricity grid.

This hub is designed to drive necessary breakthroughs in ERW science, ensuring every tonne of carbon dioxide removed is measured and tracked with certainty.

This acquisition is a strategic move designed to unify and strengthen the collective expertise and operational capabilities under a single Terradot entity.
