Ryan has acquired Svalner Atlas | Advisors, a premier independent advisory firm specializing in tax and transaction services. The purchase price was not disclosed. Svalner Atlas, which operates as an affiliate of Ryan, will now be fully integrated into the global tax services and software provider’s operations.
Svalner Atlas brings a team focused on combining deep local knowledge with an international outlook, particularly in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Ryan, headquartered in Dallas, is an award-winning global tax services and software provider and the only global-scale firm dedicated exclusively to business tax. With more than 7,500 professionals and associates serving over 78,000 clients in more than 80 countries, Ryan combines deep tax expertise with proprietary technology to address complex tax challenges.
The acquisition is a strategic move to consolidate Ryan’s existing relationship with Svalner Atlas, which had already been operating under the Ryan affiliate banner. By bringing the advisory firm fully in-house, Ryan gains direct control over its transaction services and tax advisory capabilities in key European markets. This integration is expected to streamline service delivery for multinational clients operating across borders, allowing for a more unified approach to cross-jurisdictional tax planning and compliance.
For Svalner Atlas clients, the change is likely to be seamless, with the same advisory teams continuing their work under the broader Ryan umbrella. The deal also strengthens Ryan’s footprint in Europe, where demand for integrated tax technology and advisory services continues to grow. The combined entity will leverage Ryan’s proprietary software platforms alongside Svalner Atlas’s local expertise, aiming to offer a more comprehensive suite of solutions to corporate clients navigating complex tax environments.
The full integration is expected to proceed in the coming months, with both firms focusing on maintaining continuity for existing engagements. As the deal closes, the expanded Ryan organization will be positioned to deliver more cohesive tax and transaction services across its global network, particularly in the Nordic region where Svalner Atlas has established a strong reputation.
