Inceptua Group has acquired SupplyRx, Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings the technology company’s digital platform for managing open-label clinical trial supplies under Inceptua’s broader pharmaceutical services umbrella.
SupplyRx operates a software-as-a-service platform that functions as a digital pharmacy card for commercial medicines used in clinical trials. The system connects sponsors, clinical sites, and patients directly with pharmacies, enabling on-demand procurement of open-label drugs. Its technology automates transaction tracking and financial reporting in real time, which reduces administrative overhead, cuts supply chain costs, and minimizes product waste. Inceptua Group, a provider of clinical trial supply solutions and comparator sourcing, will integrate this capability into its existing service lines.
The acquisition is strategic for Inceptua because it adds a proprietary, scalable technology layer to its established logistics and sourcing operations. Rather than relying on manual processes or third-party tools for open-label drug distribution, Inceptua can now offer sponsors a fully digital, end-to-end workflow. For SupplyRx, joining Inceptua provides access to a larger global client base and deeper operational infrastructure, which should accelerate adoption of its platform across more trials and regions.
The combined entity is expected to deliver a more streamlined experience for sponsors, sites, and patients, with particular strength in reducing the friction associated with commercial medicine supply in studies.
